Europa Pop

At its heart, Europa Pop is all about a deep, lifelong passion for music curation—treating it as a true craft shaped by intuition, real history, and the simple belief that great sound should touch people emotionally, not just fill the air. Every project we create comes from a genuinely human approach, built on years of hands-on experience that helps spaces feel more alive and memorable.

Today, Felix Cutillo guides a talented team of music stylists, bringing together their shared knowledge to create thoughtful, powerful sonic experiences.

Europa Pop actually began as Felix Cutillo’s own record label, where early releases like the much-loved Visage series came to life—beautifully weaving together global sounds into something truly cohesive and inspiring.

Roots in the Underground

It all started back in 1991 with Boston Beat Records, the first vinyl shop in New England dedicated solely to DJs. It quickly became the beating heart of Boston’s underground electronic scene, drawing in DJs, producers, and passionate music lovers who together shaped the city’s unique sound.

Around the same time, Felix held residencies at iconic spots like The Roxy, Pravda, Caprice, and Club Joy, bringing global house music to Boston nights and turning dance floors into real communities—nights people still reminisce about years later.

Moving into Luxury Spaces

That natural feel for atmosphere soon found a home in luxury retail. At Louis Boston, Felix launched the Louis Boston Music Bar, blending carefully chosen music with elegant shopping. He produced the store’s official compilation CD and built a remarkable collection of rare jazz, groove, EDM, deep house, and hidden gems across many genres.

The Visage (2003) and Visage 2 (2005) compilations—released on double vinyl and CD—showcased electronic, lounge, and downtempo tracks, earning quiet but lasting praise among dedicated listeners.

The journey continued at Bergdorf Goodman, where Felix created the groundbreaking Volume Music and Book Bar—the store’s first dedicated music concept. The limited-edition compilations Volume 1, Volume 2, and A Very Bergdorf Holiday became beloved classics for loyal customers and helped shape the sophisticated sound we now expect in top-tier retail and hospitality. Bergdorf Goodman remains a cherished current client, with a partnership built on deep trust and aligned taste.

Felix’s work has been recognized in outlets like The New York Times T Magazine, The Boston Globe, and MIDEM Magazine.

Growth and Today

In 2009, Sonodea was born as a consultancy focused on crafting custom sonic environments. Collaborations with brands like Celebrity Cruises, Ritz-Carlton Miami, Bamford Shops London, Daylesford Organic London, and Banana Republic showed how music can move from background filler to a true brand asset.

That foundation has grown into today’s Europa Pop, where we continue to blend deep musical insight with thoughtful curation, consulting, and creative direction—always with respect for cultural depth and authenticity.

What We Believe

Whether it’s the energy of a crowded dance floor or the quiet elegance of a luxury space, Europa Pop creates soundscapes that feel intentional, authentic, and truly memorable. We love partnering with brands who want a sonic identity with real soul—and we’re always ready to work together to bring their sound to life.
